Doing Tuna the Correct Way I

马晓山

As practitioners of life cultivation, our objective is to live a life of wellness and happiness until we die, without illness and medication. As such, we practice the Mustang Tuna Technique everyday for five minutes. It is equivalent to running for thirty minutes.

The word Tuna is a Chinese term, meaning exhale and inhale, a unique form of deep breathing. It will help to eliminate toxins in our body, resulting in relieving fatigue, refreshing our mind, smoothing the flow of vital energy, and restoring our organs to their normal position. If we persist in our practice, we will ultimately gain the benefits of a strong energy presence and a solid body constitution.

The term Tuna means exhaling old air and inhaling new air. It is a basic form of the Mustang Vital Energy Technique. It is a special form of deep breathing in our practice of Life Cultivation. It involves taking in fresh air from Nature and letting it circulate inside our body, and expelling the foul air from inside our body.

Tuna is a form of breathing. We classify breathing into external respiration and internal respiration. External respiration refers to air exchange between fresh air and blood in the lungs, also known as lung-breathing.

The Mustang Tuna Technique is a special way of breathing. It requires lifting the anus and shrinking the vagina to drive the chest and abdomen muscles, leading to a massage of the organs. This unique practice will quickly improve our immunity system and our energy level.

Tuna Technique Movements

马晓山

Here we will give you step-by-step instructions of the movements. You should read the instructions several times to commit the process to your mind. Have a playback of the instructions in your mind until you have it firmly in your mind. When you start to practice, do not come back and read the instructions again. If you do that, you have not committed them to your mind. You should start from the beginning once more.

Step one

Stand on the ground. Spread your feet naturally shoulder wide.

Step two

Your toes should gently grasp the ground. The soles of the feet should be slightly hollow. You should feel a sucking sensation at the Yongquan Point (the hollow point at the bottom of the feet).

Step three

Bend your legs slightly.

Step Four

Hold your waist with both hands with thumbs pointing backwards (or superimpose both hands in front of the Guanyuan point in the lower abdomen.)

Step Five

Buckle your elbows slightly forward. Suck in your chest slightly. Spread open your shoulders.

Step Six

Curl your tongue to touch the upper palate. Close your lips tightly. Loosen your teeth. Retract your lower jaw and pull it up slightly. Look horizontally or downcast with your eyes.

Step Seven

Stand upright. Perform the exhale-routine.

(When you exhale, let out as much foul air as you can. The more foul air you let out, the more fresh air you can take it later. Then you take in fresh air in nine cascades of cloud. Hold briefly. Then exhale once more to complete a one-breath cycle. )

See how many cycles you can do in one session and make a record of it to mark your progress.
