When you are sad, or in sorrow, your energy will ebb, leading to dysfunctional lungs, which in turn leads to depression, which in turn will hurt the lungs and the breathing system. Thus, deep sorrow or grief is harmful to your health, and you will age faster.
Grief will shorten the life of a person, especially the loss of a loved one. Thus, you should try to get rid of all sorrows and maintain your youth from now on.
You may wonder how you can get rid of all sorrows when you are surrounded by them day in and day out. There is a saying. We live to be a hundred years old, but we harbor sorrows for a thousand years. Thus, how can we escape the harm of deep grief？
01 Dealing with grief
Great grief or deep sorrow is a big killer. Let us look at a very common situation.
Mary loved John very much. John died young. Mary was in grief. She lives in deep sorrow since the death of John. Her heart is full of so much sorrow that she has no heart for anything else.
Mark wants to liberate Mary from her sorrow. This is his strategy. Mark knew Mary was in grief because of the death of John. He talked to Mary about John. He asked Mary to tell him all the stories about John, how they fell in love, what they had done together, and so on.
Eventually Mary told Mark all the stories about John. Mark kept on listening to Mary talking about John until one day Mary did not want to talk about John anymore because there was nothing left to talk about.
Mary admitted that John occupied her mind before the story-telling to the point that her mind was full of John, and she could not breath. Now that she had talked about John freely and openly, her mind was now void of John when she thought about him.
Mark has successfully led Mary out of her grief about the death of John. Mary was now capable of loving another man once more.
This is just one episode for the removal of grief. There are many other ways.
