Inner Vision Observation of Organs

马晓山

As practitioners of life cultivation, we use the inner vision technique to feel our inner organs to find out if they are abnormal physiologically or functionally. Once we find the organ that is going bad, we can then try to return it to normal operation as soon as possible, using the various Mustang Cultivation Techniques. This will help us to maintain the health of our body without resorting to medication or surgical operation in later days.

In a previous article, we have briefly discussed each of the important organs as a learning reference. Now we will discuss in depth how we apply the inner vision technique to find out what is wrong with each of our organs.

01 The Heart

马晓山

The heart resides in the thoracic cavity, above the diaphragm, and is protected by the pericardium.

The heart is the lord of our mind , the lead of the meridien, and it plays a role in controlling out life activities.

The Heart is the monarch of all organs.

Su Wen: Linglan Secret Canon

The physiological function of the heart has two main aspects: one is to govern the blood vessels, and the other is to govern the mind.

The heart condition is related to the tongue and face. Meaning we may observe the health of our heart via the tongue and the face.

The heart and the small intestines are interrelated to each other. The health of one will give signs to the health of the other.

马晓山

01 Heart manages blood and blood vessels

The function of the heart includes two aspects. It controls blood and it controls blood vessels. Blood of the entire body flows in blood vessels, depending on the heart beat to be transported to every part of the body, nourishing every part of the body. Thus blood flow is critical to our body health.

The beating of the heart depends on the vital force of the heart. As we are young and energetic, our heart force will be strong, and the blood will flow in the blood vessels in a normal pattern, nourishing our body. Thus, our skin complexion will look ruddy and shiny, our pulse rhythm will be even, gentle and powerful.

As we grow older or when we are weak, the function of our heart may diminish, and we may observe the following symptoms.

When we have an insufficiency of heart force, the function of promoting blood circulation is reduced. Thus we may exhibit visible palpitations, pale complexion, weak pulse and so on.

We may develop heart and blood stasis. If our heart force is weak, blood flow will be weak, leading to blood stasis. Thus we may observe visible palpitations, suffocation and pain in the precordial area of our heart. Our facial complexion will become dark and gray, with blue and purple lips and mouths, and irregular pulse rhythm, etc.

We may have a deficiency of blood supply. In order for our heart and blood to perform normally, we have to have a strong heart force, sufficient blood supply, and smooth blood vessels for blood flow. If we have a deficiency of blood supply, our blood vessels will not have enough blood, then we will exhibit palpitations, pale complexion and lips, thin and weak pulse, etc.

Thus, if we apply our inner vision technique properly, we will be able to tell whether our heart, blood and circulatory functions are performing properly. If not, we then will take actions to remedy them before they become big, big problems.

02 Heart manages the Mind

What is the Mind? In a very broad sense, it refers to what we see when a person shows his activities which are directed by his Mind. In a narrower sense, it includes his human spirit, consciousness, and thinking activities.

In traditional herbal medicine, human spirit, consciousness and thinking activities are attributed to the five major organs, and mainly to the physiological function of the heart. However, in Western medicine, these activities are mainly attributed to the human brain.

Thus, when the heart is functioning properly, our mind will be clear, our thinking will be quick, and our spirit will be high. On the other hand, if the heart is ill, it will affect our mental activities, leading to abnormal manifestations of mental consciousness and thinking, such as insomnia, full of dreams, restlessness, or delirium. The person may show clinical manifestations such as unresponsiveness, forgetfulness, lethargy, and even coma.

However, if you follow the Western medicine, you may say these symptoms show that our brain is not functioning properly. Accordingly, we will seek to treat the brain instead of the heart.

This is an interesting theory. Let us look at an example. Say a man fell in love with a woman. They went along happily. Six months later, the woman broke up with him. She declared that she did not love him anymore. Instead, she fell in love with another handsome man.

Now, shall we say the man was heart-broken? Or, shall we say the man was brain-drained or brain-broken? The man will feel a pain in his heart, not his brain.

Actually, the loss of a loved-one is not only a heart problem. It is more. It is also a stomach problem. The man may lose his appetite for days or weeks to come. The man may die with a broken heart.

Thus, if you believe that you should treat your brain when you suffer from a broken heart, go ahead. As practitioners of life cultivation, we shall find ways to soothe our minds and hearts.

Should we take a peek at why Traditional Herbal Medicine prefers to treat the heart and five organs with a broken heart? No? Alright.

03 Heart manages blood vessels, reflected on the face

The function of the blood vessels has two aspects. One, it governs blood flow. Blood must flow in certain channels in certain directions continuously. Two, it carries nutrients to every part of our body, nourishing our organs and tissues and so on. These functions depend on the proper functioning of our blood circulatory functions.

Whether our heart and the blood circulatory system is working properly will be reflected on our face. Any change in our blood and circulation will be reflected on the colors of our facial skin.

When our heart force is strong, our blood and vessels will be abundant, and our face will be ruddy and shiny; if our heart force is insufficient, the complexion will be pale and stagnant.

The heart opens at the tongue. The tongue is the sprout of the heart. The function of the tongue is to control taste and express speech. The normal functioning of taste and the correct expression of speech depend on the normal functioning of the heart and blood vessels and the functioning of the heart and mind.

If the function of the heart is normal, the tongue will be ruddy and soft, the speech will be clear, and the sense of taste will be sensitive.

If the mental function of the heart is abnormal, the tongue will be rigid, the speech will be slurry, leading to a loss of speech.

The pericardium is a film or tissue that wraps around the heart. It is also called tanzhong in some literature. Its function is to protect the heart and may be sick instead of the heart being sick. For example, in the case of fever or dizziness, a physician may find the cause in the pericardium instead of in the heart.

In summary, we can use our inner vision technique to check the condition of our heart, the blood, blood vessels, and the blood circulatory system.

Mustang 8-brocade juvenates your body

马晓山

The Mustang 8-brocade Technique is one of the suite of modalities of the Mustang Shenzhan Technique which is a series of stretching exercises for the maintenance and repair of our physical body.

As practitioners of life cultivation, we engage in the 8-brocade Technique to juvenate our body. When we practice the technique on a daily basis, we will enhance our physical fitness and prevent illness. We will look younger and feel younger.

The 8-brocade technique consists of eight styles or movements. In order to learn this technique properly, we start with the first movement. We memorize the instruction and visualize the movements and associated breathing in our mind until we have it firmly in our mind. We do not refer to the instruction booklet, or the pictures, or the video half-way through the practice. We just have to memorize it.

Now we start to practice the movements and breathing, visualizing the movements in our mind. We focus on the movements by the eyes-nose-mind technique.

This 8-brocade technique is suitable for people of all ages. It is best to practice outdoors in the morning before breakfast. If you sweat after the exercise, take a shower, or swipe off the sweat with a towel before breakfast.

We group all eight movements here for convenience. When you learn and practice, learn and practice one by one. Learn one until you are well versed with it, and then go on to the next. Try to learn one movement a week. Do not try to learn and practice more than one or all at once.

As practitioners of life cultivation, most of us take the 8-brocade technique as the cornerstone of our fitness program to restore us to a younger self.

Here are the movements of the 8-brocade technique. Enjoy.

01 For your upper body health

Movements

Stand upright, with your two feet apart and shoulder wide. Your arms are naturally loose on the sides.

Lift your arms slowly to the top of your head in front of you. Cross your fingers so that your fingers are intertwined with your palms facing upwards, as if you are holding the sky.

While you are doing this, inhale slowly. When you inhale, take in air in nine cascades. Refer to Mustang Tuna Technique for full explanation. We assume that you have mastered the Mustang Tuna Technique at this point.

Hold your breath when you are holding the sky. Count from one to nine slowly while you are holding your breath. Refer to Mustang Tuna Technique for a full explanation on how to hold your breath.

While you are lifting your hands, raise your heels upwards simultaneously. When you hold your breath with your palms extended, you are standing on the ground with your heels off the ground.

Next, lower your arms slowly towards the sides of your body. At the same time, lower your heels so that you stand firmly on the ground.

At the same time, exhale slowly and naturally.

Repeat the movements as many times as you can. Start with fifteen times when you first begin. Once you have mastered the technique, do it fifty times per session.

Comments

When you first begin, you may not be able to stand firmly on the ground with only your toes catching the ground. Try to adjust your stance by paying attention to your chest position. You will soon improve with practice and with proper adjustment of your stance.

This exercise forces you to exhale old air and inhale new air. Inhale as you have learned with the Mustang Tuna Technique. Your breath should be deep and long. You are not in a rush. You increase your supply of oxygen with this movement.

This exercise forces you to lift your rib cage. As you do so, you are moving the organs within the rib cage, and lift the organs immediately below the rib cage. You are forcing your body to supply more blood to those organs. These combined movements will help to maintain and repair those organs.

As an added benefit, the 8-brocade technique will eliminate fatigue. It will also strengthen and smooth your joints.

Can you use this movement as a defense move when you are under attack? Think about it.

Popular Canon for Ruding

马晓山

Ruding is not difficult,
Cleansing to expose the original mind.
No dust hanging around,
This practice is natural.

Put out the fire in the urn,
Safe keeping is not the only way.
Pumping out and filling in,
Is the easiest to fail.

Can’t send it with thought,
It is difficult to turn the hub.
Consciousness be hidden,
This practice is at the tip of the eyebrow.

This practice is not the only rule,
A little bead is round.
Do not rely on appearance,
Do not pay respect,

Do not pay any attention,
Purification will suddenly dawn on you.
Loss is harmless,
Gain is no joy,

Come and go is immaterial,
Observation of practice can be ignored.
From which to find the Natural Way,
Flower blossoms forever.

Holding on to a certain sacred way,
Is a false statement in itself.
Everything is wiped out,
The mind will be at ease.

Buddhism does not cling to this,
So to achieve enlightenment.
Taoism transcends time,
Buddhism upholds the sky.

They transcend life and death,
Jump out the limitation of death.
Right and wrong will be resolved,
Good and evil will recycle.

Good or evil are not apparent,
Purification will be self-evident.
Three-null will gather there,
With sudden understanding of three lifetimes.

Become a big Carefree,
Though not a buddha or a god.
Still have to let go of everything,
For all of us to go to Spiritual Land.

Do not know what it means? Fear not. We, as practitioners of life cultivation learning the Art of Ruding. we do not know for sure. Let us meditate on it. The Natural Way may suddenly dawn on us.

Mustang Jingzuo Technique Basics III

马晓山

There are many ways to practice Jingzuo Technique. First of all, the word Jingzuo means to sit still. As practitioners of life cultivation, we practice Jingzuo by sitting down and doing our meditation.

As you can see, there are many ways that we can sit. There are also many ways that we can meditate. As practitioners, we just follow the one way that is most effective for us. As the saying goes, when we drink water, whether the water is warm or cold, each of us knows it.

If you are a beginner, read the article and try them all, and then decide on the one that you feel most comfortable with, and then practice for months and years to come until you reap all the benefits.

Follow your breath

This is the basics of all meditation. Learn how to breathe. Refer to Mustang Tuna Technique to learn all about deep breathing.

For beginners, you pick a spot on your body, such as the spot about two inches below your naval. Focus on it by observing your nose with your eyes, and observing your mind with your nose.

When you breathe, you will notice that the spot will rise and fall with each breath. Do not try to change the rhythm of your breath. Just breathe naturally.

Try to concentrate on the breathing itself. You only need to consciously notice your breath. Do not think or judge your breathing, like thinking this breath is shorter than the last one.

Follow a picture

We can try to imagine some pictures to help with our meditation. For example, we can imagine a coin sitting above the navel, swelling up and down with our breathing. We can imagine a buoy in the sea, floating up and down with our breathing. We can imagine a lotus flower sitting on our belly, with the petals blooming with our breathing.

You may find your mind starts to wander. Have no fear. You are just a beginner in meditation. As with all arts, you will get better with practice.

Once you find your mind wandering, you pull your thoughts back to its origin, focusing on breathing, and shut off all other thoughts. Get rid of the random thoughts popping into your mind, and collect your mind once more.

Follow a chanting

Pick your own chanting. Repeat the chanting in a monotonous way. The chanting may be a single word, a single phrase or a short sentence. It may be in any language, or a language foreign to you.

We used to chant wuliangshoufo. Some people may chant amituofo. Some people may yet chant hallelujah. Pick one you like and stick with it. You may visit the Internet to pick one.

Once you start chanting, your mind will be lured into a collected state. You will soon be in a deep trance for long and deep meditation.

As a beginner, you may choose the word One, or Ning, or Jing, or An, or Ji as your chanting. It is also nice to pick Om as your chanting. We like the sound of it. It is a traditional chanting which stands for Ubiquitous Consciousness. Chanting like Sat, Chit, Ananda are also popular choices which stand for Existence, Consciousness, Joy.

Chanting is associated with music. It is supposed to be an instrument of thinking. The chanting creates a resonance in our thoughts so that we can escape from random and complex thoughts and into our deep consciousness.

Repeated chanting helps with our meditation. The quieting chanting of a simple word or phrase will penetrate our thoughts to help stabilize it. If you are distracted again, just get back to the chanting. Once we enter the state of deep consciousness, we may then do our chanting in silence and oblivion.

Foot Massage Healthy Life

马晓山

As practitioners of life cultivation, we frequently use a technique called foot massage to keep our body healthy. The technical name for foot massage is reflexology. We seldom used the big word, because everyone knows what foot massage is. The massage of the foot, right?

We usually do foot massages ourselves in the evening. It is relatively easy to do on our own. It is also easy to do it on another person. Try it and you will like it.

First of all, we try to massage the bottom of our feet. When you search the Internet, you will find images that indicate sensitive acupoints on the bottom of our feet. We will use our hands to massage the acupoints, and hence we will maintain the health of the related organs. It is that simple.

As practitioners of life cultivation, we do not try to locate and remember the sensitive acupoints. We find it unnecessary. The area is very small, we will cover the whole area in a very short time.

We just go ahead and massage our feet on a regular basis. Perhaps twice a week. However, for older people who find that their blood has difficulty flowing towards their lower parts of the body, they may massage their feet more frequently.

We usually use our thumbs to massage the reflection areas under our feet. However, we may have sore thumbs after a while, especially if we just started the process.

We have several remedies if that happens. We may get a piece of small scraping tool to help us. Instead of using our thumbs, we use the tool. Believe me, it is not very pleasant to use the tool. We encourage you to use your thumbs instead. You will get used to it after a while.

Bear in mind that some reflection areas are located deeper, so you may have to apply more force to reach the areas. The reflection area that relates to the kidneys is such an area.

In that case, you may want to buy a foot-massage mat. You will step on the massage pad repeatedly for fifteen minutes to an hour per session. However, the use of a massage mat is not precise. You will have to do it for a longer time to get the same effect. We still prefer to use our thumbs.

You may also go to a professional technician to do a foot massage on you. Watch and learn how he does it. As practitioners of life cultivation, most of us do not engage a professional to do foot massage if we can do it ourselves.

As practitioners of life cultivation, we were taught early that the reflection area is more painful when we massage it if the corresponding organ is more damaged.

Therefore, when we massage our feet, we apply more force on the reflection areas that are painful, and for a longer period of time. That act will stimulate the corresponding organ and it will be healed faster. Of course, you may shy away from doing it. Who wants to bring pain to ourselves, right?

There are two special reflex areas that we pay special attention to.

We always massage our big toe in order to reach the corresponding area of our body which is our head. Do you think it helps with your headache? Who cares? Give it a try. You may find yourself lucky. What if you also massage the other toes?

We also always massage the center of our foot (the depression area) with great force. This is related to our kidneys. You have to apply great force in order to get to the area because the reflex area is deep inside.

Here is our proprietary code. Massage the center of the foot with both hands with great force. It will prevent our kidneys from overheating virtual fire. Meaning, if you have chronic inflammation, this action will help.

In the process, we depress the point eighty-one times. Then we repeat the process with the other feet. Do not give up if you feel pain. Just think about if as putting out a fire

If you are an avid learner, go and study the reflexology chart and figure out which organ you want to do maintenance and repair. Good luck to you

When we massage the underside of our feet, we may feel pain. That is because the reflex areas contain uric acid crystals. The force of massage will liquefy the crystals so that it will be expelled from our body with urination. Therefore, it is advisable to drink water before foot massage to help with the urination.

In general, foot massage will help blood circulation of the internal organs inside our body. It helps with the maintenance and repair of the organs. If you couple this with other techniques that are explained elsewhere, it will speed up the repair of damaged organs, if any.

When you are a beginner, do not try to learn and remember the reflex areas. Just massage each area of the underside of your feet in turn. Whenever you run into an area with more pain, just massage it with more force or for a longer period of time.

If you are curious and have time on your hand, you may try to massage the upper side of your feet. However, it is generally not necessary to do so. It yields no additional benefits.

There is another technique called foot bath which is usually done in tandem with foot massage if you visit a professional technician. When you do it at home, it is a separate technique. We will talk about foot baths in another article.

Control your bad Emotions with the Tuna Technique

马晓山

The Mustang Tuna Technique is a very special form of deep breathing. In customary deep breathing, we use our lungs to breathe, and we take in more oxygen by expanding our lung capacity. Thus, in customary deep breathing, we breathe like bellows.

A bellows is a device with an airbag that emits a stream of air when squeezed together with two handles, used for blowing air into a fire. Although it will help us to take in more air, it also requires us to use more of our natural energy to do it.

With deep breathing in a bellows-style, our breath will be quick, our heart beat will be fast, our metabolism rate will increase, and our longevity will be shortened.

马晓山

Benefits of Tuna Technique

Thus, as practitioners of life cultivation, we try to preserve our natural energy, so we tend to employ the Mustang Tuna Technique for deep breathing instead.

Using the Mustang Tuna Technique in deep breathing, we make use of our diaphragm to breathe. We take in more oxygen by pushing our diaphragm down without expanding the lung. First we Inhale slowly, moving the air into the diaphragm area. Then we exhale slowly, returning the diaphragm to its normal position.

The Mustang Tuna Technique will increase the content of alkaline substances in our body. It will speed up blood circulation and heartbeat. It will increase our rate of blood circulation, thereby accelerate the delivery of food nutrients to other parts of our body. It will improve the immunity function of our body to fight diseases.

In addition, the Mustang Tuna Technique will help to improve our excretion function, helping us to excrete body waste and toxins from our body through perspiration or defecation, reducing the content of acidic substances in the body. It will help to balance the pH value of the body and quickly bring our body to standard.

Thus, the Mustang Tuna Technique will help us to fight off common colds, infection of the respiratory tract, and the other respiratory diseases.

As practitioners of life cultivation, we use the Mustang Tuna Technique to maintain and repair our body. In the use of this technique, we take in two to three times more oxygen than normal. Thus we use this method to treat illness of various organs.

For example, we use this technique to treat headaches. When we take in air to its maximum, we will suddenly lift our heels, forcing the air to run to the head, and then we exhale slowly.

We will offer more information on how to treat various organs and symptoms in the full treatise.

If you persist in practicing the Mustang Tuna Technique daily for half-a-year, your diaphragm area will expand by four centimeter. It will vastly improve your lungs and respiratory system. For seniors, this is the most important method to restore their respiratory system.

In summary, The Mustang Tuna Technique will result in a large exchange of air inside our whole body, resulting in massaging the organs in our body to affect the excretion of toxins, and resulting in a higher rate of blood circulation.

Mind control of Tuna Technique Brief

One aspect of the Mustang Tuna Technique is to use deep breathing for the control of our mind. It is a very complicated process, but it is also a useful process to build a youthful foundation for our health.

This is worth our while to spend some time talking about it. We will start with a simplified version here, and then we will have a full discourse in another treatise. If you are interested in building a youthful foundation, we suggest that you purchase the treatise under Call to Action Summary below. Here is a brief.

Sit properly. Do not rush to close your eyes and start right away. Calm down. Even your breath. Wait until your mind is calm and your breath is even. Now you close your eyes slightly or with an open slit.

If you have a problem understanding this, go and visit a Buddhist temple to see the Buddha’s seven-point sitting method. You do not have to visit a real temple. You may visit the Internet to find out. Pay close attention to how the Buddha places his hands, legs and feet.

Focus your attention on your breath. You start counting, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. While you are counting, you inhale air with each count. Now you take in air with nine spurts. You stop counting and breathing at the count of nine. Now you exhale in one stretch without counting. We refer to this action as one breath. Remember this. This is very important in our discourse later on.

You inhale with your nose. You may exhale with your nose or mouth. As practitioners of the Mustang Tuna Technique, we will advise you to breathe with your mouth, with the tip of your tongue touching the upper ceiling of the mouth. There is a very good reason for this.

Group nine breaths as one cycle. How many cycles will you do in one exercise? How long does it take to do one cycle? Should you do the Tuna Technique lying on bed, sitting on a chair, or standing on the ground?

马晓山

Inhale as if you are breaking a cocoon. Exhale as if you are pulling a thread.

Master

What if you reverse the process? Instead of counting from one to nine while inhaling, you prefer to count while exhaling. Is it alright? How does it affect you?

马晓山

Precautions

to be continued.

Killing you Softly with Emotions

马晓山

Illness caused by The Seven Emotions are very different from illness caused by The Six Factors.

Illness that is caused by the Six Factors originates outside the human body. They invade the human body through the skin, nose, or mouth. At the beginning of the onset of the illness, all the symptoms are visible and so the illness can be easily treated.

On the other hand, when the cause of illness is the Seven Emotions, they directly affect the corresponding internal organs. The internal organs so affected are then out of balance, leading to confusion in blood and energy circulations so more internal organs are then in disorders. Finally we are ill, but the illness is now more difficult to detect and treat.

There are three ways our emotions can cause harm to our body.

马晓山

Direct injury to the organs

As practitioners of life cultivation, we learn from observation that Anger will hurt the liver. Joy will hurt the heart. Thought will hurt the spleen and stomach. Sorrow will hurt the Lungs. Fear will hurt the kidneys.

However, it is not always that clear because the human body is an organic whole. Once a certain organ is hurt, it in turn may affect other organs, hurting them at the same time. Thus a beginner in life cultivation may not fully understand why he is suddenly ill in certain ways.

Let us take the heart as an example. The heart is the lord of all internal organs. Once we get emotional, the Five Emotions may shake the foundation of the heart. Once the heart is shaken, all other internal organs are also shaken.

The heart is sometimes referred to as the Mind. All kinds of emotional stimuli are related to the heart. The heart is the controller of all internal organs of the human body. Once the heart is damaged, it will involve other organs.

The main function of the heart is related to the blood, and it is where the Mind is housed. The liver stores the blood and its main function is in transport. The spleen and stomach is into digestion and transport and is situated in the middle. It is the hub of air and energy flow. It is involved in the origination of biochemistry of blood and energy. Thus illness of the Mind will lead to disharmony of energy and blood circulation of the organs, namely the heart, liver, and spleen.

For example, when a person is involved in deep thinking, solving problems with no solutions, he will hurt his heart and spleen, leading to heart and spleen energy deficiency. It will show the emergence of mental abnormalities and the loss of health of the spleen and stomach and other symptoms.

For example, when a person is angry, it will hurt his liver. When he is in anger, the liver energy will flow upward. The blood will follow the liver energy and reverse itself. It may then show symptoms of chest pain on the sides. For women, it may show symptoms of dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, or other symptoms related to dysfunction of liver energy flow.

In addition, emotional internal injuries may lead to internal inflammation. It will show up as fluid deficiency or inflammation illness. It may also lead to other illnesses related to the digestive system.

Affecting energy flows of the organs

As practitioners of life cultivation, we learn that emotional imbalance will affect energy flows of the internal organs, and do harm to the internal organs indirectly.

In summary, we observe that Anger will lead to energy flowing upward. Joy will lead to energy flowing slowly. Sorrow will lead to energy flow diminishing. Fear will lead to energy flow in turbulence. Deep Thinking will lead to energy flow in knots.

Anger will lead to energy flowing upward. Excessive anger will lead to liver energy going sideways and rushing upward. Blood flow will reverse itself with the reversal in liver energy flow. Now both energy and blood will flow upwards. A person may then show symptoms of red face, red eyes. He may even cough out blood and in an excessive case, he may even have fainted.

Joy will lead to energy flow going slower than usual. Thus It may smooth out the flow of energy and reduce tension. Under normal circumstances, Joy is a good and healthy emotion. However, if the person is violently overjoyed, the heart energy can be quickly dissipated and the mind momentarily out of control. The person may then show a loss of concentration and even ecstasy.

Sorrow will lead to energy flow diminishing. When a person is in deep grief, his lung energy will be depressed. He will suffer from depression, leading to a further loss of lung energy.

Fear will lead to energy flowing in turbulence. When a person suffers from deep fear, his kidney energy will be shaken from its foundation and energy will flow downward. The person may even show a loss of control of urination and excretion. When a person suffers from a prolonged Fear, it may hurt his kidney energy and sperm. He may show a symptom of skeletal sputum or nocturnal emission. Shock is sudden Fear. When a person is in shock, his mind has no anchor. His mind has no home to return to. His thought has no fixed direction. He will panic.

Deep and involved thinking will lead to energy flow in knots. It may bring damage to the Mind and the Spleen. Knotted Thinking starts from the spleen and solidifies in the heart. Thus Knotted Thinking will cause damage to the Mind and give rise to an irritated Temper. A person with Knotted Thinking will show signs of palpitations, forgetfulness, insomnia, and lots of dreams. He may also show signs of abdominal fullness, hemorrhoids and embolism.

Exacerbate existing illness

As practitioners of life cultivation, we observe that the third way unusual emotional fluctuations can affect our health is that it will exacerbate the illness conditions or make the illness rapidly worsen. Thus we always try to reduce intense emotional fluctuations so as to control our illness.

When we suffer from hypertension and run into a situation that irritates or angers us, our blood pressure will rise rapidly. Our liver will suddenly be filled with energy. It may then lead to dizziness, or we may even faint. We may suffer from a loss of speech. We may faint with half or our body paralyzed. Our eyes and mouth may be skewed.
Anger seems to be our number one enemy. We should avoid anger by all means, using Mustang Tuna Technique will ease our anger.

What can we do

As practitioners of mind cultivation, there are many ways for us to control our emotions so that we will not get sick from emotional imbalance.

We may seek relief from illness arising from the Seven Emotions by the Mustang Tuna Technique. There are several modalities for us to choose from. One of the modalities resorts to scriptures, be it Christianity or Buddhism or other religion or belief.

As practitioners of life cultivation, each of us has our own means to adapt to one that will help us to calm down our emotions so that our emotions will not kill us. You may give them a try to find the means that help you.

Some of us will resort to reading one of the buddhist scripture, The Heart Sutra. Sentences in the Scriptures swept through our minds like flowing water.

马晓山

You are with the self-contained Bodhisattva. When you walk in the depths of the Bodhisattva, you can see that all five connotations are empty, relieving you from all hardship. For the Relics, the color is not different from emptiness, and emptiness is not different from the color. The color is emptiness. Emptiness is the color. Thinking and consciousness are similar……

The Heart Sutra

We finish reading the Scripture silently very quickly. After that, our mind will be silent. We will be angry no more. The mind will be calm. We will hear no noises around us. All the troubles, unhappiness, and resentment are gone. We will wear a smile on our face.

Inner Vision Technique applied

马晓山

As practitioners of life cultivation, we use the inner vision technique to feel our inner organs to find out if they are abnormal in physiology or function. Once we find the bad organs, we can then repair them using Mustang Cultivation Techniques in advance to return them to normal operations. This will help us to maintain the health of our body without resorting to medication or surgical operation in later days.

In a previous article, we have briefly discussed each of the important organs as a learning reference. Now we will discuss how we apply the inner vision technique to find out what is wrong with our organs.

As a test of our inner vision technique, when you have a physical checkup with your physician, you may ask your doctor the conditions of your organs. You ask him how each of your organs has aged as compared to your biological age.

For example, your doctor may tell you your liver is ten to fifteen older than your biological age. Of course that is not good news, but you want to know that in order to reap the benefits of practicing Mustang Life Cultivation. It is not enough to be told that your health is alright after a physical checkup.

马晓山

Inner vision technique brief

The inner vision technique of observing dysfunctional organs starts with the observation of the changes in the shape and colors of the human body, the changes of the vital energy flow and the blood flow reflected by the condition of the pulse.

Thus, as practitioners of life cultivation, we learn to observe the strength and weakness of our body shapes, the wetness and dryness of our colors, the strength and weakness of our vital energy flow, and the strength and weakness of our pulse.

Moreover, we note how long the changes have been in existence. Then we take appropriate actions to adjust our body to avoid the arrival of a major illness.

That is why when you visit your doctor, his nurse will measure your height, your weight, your body temperature, and your pulse and make a record of it. He wants to see the changes. However, he seldom discussed it with you. Have you ever wondered why?

On the observation of shape and color, if they look good and in harmony, we are in a healthy state. If our complexion is lustrous and bright, we are also in a healthy state.

If our shape and vital energy is not in harmony, we are in trouble. If our complexion is haggard and lacking luster, we have health problems.

When we are healthy, the pulse of the human body is compatible with the four seasons. Even if we are ill, it can be cured easily. However, if the pulse is weak but fluent with clinical symptoms, we might have problems with stomach gas. It is easy to treat. Thus we must not lose time in treating it.

On the other hand, if our pulse is sufficient and firm, it may indicate that the illness has become more serious. Also, if the pulse is in conflict with the four seasons, it may indicate that the disease is not treatable. Thus we must visit a professional physician right away.

As practitioners of life cultivation, if we have problems using the inner vision technique, we should seek help from the professional to increase our ability to see health problems ourselves before they become big issues.

It is very important that we learn how to spot health issues right away and seek professional help accordingly. We will learn more about the issue as we go on with our practice of life cultivation.

Using Inner Vision to check our health

As practitioners of life cultivation, our purpose is not to treat diseases of ourselves or other people. We just want to live out our lives as long as God wants it with a healthy body and soul.

Before we venture out to use the inner vision technique for health check, we must have some knowledge about our internal organs. Here we will talk about the most important internal organs a little bit.

马晓山

Internal organs brief

The heart controls the blood vessels. The blood vessels house the blood. The heart and the blood vessels combined to make one relatively independent blood circulation system.

When the heart is full of vital energy and the heart beats rhythmically, the blood vessels are smooth and the blood flow is normal. If the heart’s vital energy is weak, its push will be weak, and the blood flow will be relatively stagnant.

In addition, the heart houses the spirit, and the spirit controls the vital energy. Thus the spirit also has a regulating effect on the heartbeat, blood circulation and blood flow.

The spleen governs the blood, keeps and controls the blood to run in the blood vessels without escaping outside the vessels. When the spleen is weak, the spleen will be unable to control the blood to stay inside the blood vessels, leading to various hemorrhages.

The spleen is also the source of blood making and expenditure, and is instrumental in blood fullness and circulation. The spleen is an important organ in our digestive and absorption system, making it instrumental in our body extracting and absorption of nutrients necessary for blood production.

The lungs as our respiratory system govern our vital energy flow. The blood of our body meets at the lungs. The physiological significance of the lungs is that the blood flows into the lungs through the pulmonary veins, and through the respiratory function of the lungs, air exchange is carried out, and then it is distributed to the whole body.

The lung controls the vital energy flow of the whole body and regulates the vital energy flow mechanism of the whole body, and the normal operation of the blood also depends on the compressing and regulation of the lungs. Thus the lungs play a very important role in the pushing and relating blood flow.

The liver maintains dredging, that is, it dredges and regulates in a rhythmic way the vital energy flow function of our whole body. Once our vital energy flow is smooth, our blood flow is also in smooth condition. This mainly explains the physiological function of the liver from the functional level.

The other function of the liver is in keeping the blood, regulating the amount of blood, thus it will be able to prevent hemorrhages.

Our kidneys are very important organs in that kidneys maintain the yin and yang harmony of our organs.

For example, the yang aspect of the kidneys supports the yang aspect of the heart, and promotes the smooth flow of blood vessels. The yin aspect of the kidneys supports the yin aspect of the heart and nourishes the blood vessels.

Clinically, we may see that the yang aspects of the heart and kidneys are deficient, leading to a weak pushing of the blood in the blood vessels. We may also see that the yin aspects of the heart and kidneys are deficient, leading to a weakening of the cooling and calming function of the heart and kidneys. Thus the dysfunctional kidneys will show up as a dysfunctional blood circulation system.

The internal organs are closely related to the bone and bone marrow. The kidneys house sperms and sperms manifest as bone marrow which are kept inside the bone. Thus abundant sperms will produce abundant marrow leading to healthy bones, giving us a strong and healthy body.
