People in ancient times who knew The Way will model the Yin and Yang, harmonize in calculation, eat in moderation, live a regulated life, equalize work and play, thus the body and mind co-exists in harmony, who will live to be one hundred years old and then die.
The first principle on longevity is to model our life according to the Universe.
The second principle on longevity is to harmonize our life with numbers and do good deeds.
The third principle on longevity is to control our foods and drinks
04 To stay healthy regulate our daily lifestyle
To stay healthy, we should regulate our daily life. We should live a life that is normal. We should live a scheduled life.
Our daily life should be like the change of heaven and earth, and just like the change of day and night.
Why should we rise in the morning? We do it because there is daylight. Why should we go to bed at night? We do it because there is night. We just follow the change of heaven and earth.
Is the natural day and night a constant? When it is happy, it will dawn at nine o’clock today. When it is unhappy, it will dawn at six o’clock tomorrow. Will heaven and earth do that? No.
Then, should we wake up at nine o’clock today and at six o’clock tomorrow because we have a mood change? No.
This problem has become a big problem during the modern era. Living regularly is a big problem. Even sleep is a big problem. Many of us are turning day and night upside down. This is not a healthy lifestyle. Stop doing it now.
This kind of daily life is obviously contrary to the realm of heaven and earth, and it is contrary to the harmony of yin and yang. This is obviously a reverse of the natural law that we have talked about. So, stop doing it now if you want to stay healthy.
Think about your daily activities. Make a list. List what you should be doing. List what you should not be doing. Make a decision. From now on, you want to lengthen the to-do list, and shorten the not-to-do list.
Start with sleeping. Go on with eating and drinking. Then end with pooping. Take care of these three things first. Once you have mastered these three daily activities, you are in good shape.
Can you do that? Of course, you said. It takes only will power.
