The Mustang Shenzhan Technique is a series of stretching exercises for the maintenance and repair of our physical body. The Mustang 8-brocade Technique is just one of a suite of modalities of the Mustang Shenzhan Technique. It is a basic technique which is easy to learn and practice.
As practitioners of life cultivation, we engage in the Mustang 8-brocade Technique to rejuvenate our body. When we practice the technique on a daily basis, we will enhance our physical fitness and prevent illness. We will look and feel younger.
The Mustang 8-brocade Technique consists of eight styles or movements. In order to learn this technique properly, you start with the first movement. You memorize the instructions outlined here and then you visualize the movements and associated breathing method in your mind until you have it firmly in your mind.
While you are practicing, you do not refer to the instruction, or the pictures, or the video. You have to practice it from memory. You start to practice the movements and breathing, visualizing the movements in your mind. You focus on the movements by the eyes-nose-mind technique that you have learned before.
We have seen a housewife cooking a new recipe by watching a video on her mobile phone set on the kitchen counter top while she does her cooking. We are simply amazed by her actions. Do not imitate this housewife while you learn any Mustang Shenzhen Technique.
This Mustang 8-brocade Technique is suitable for people of all ages. It is best to practice outdoors in the morning before breakfast. If you sweat after the exercise, take a shower, or swipe off the sweat with a towel before breakfast. Do not let your skin absorb the sweat back into your body again.
We group all eight movements here for convenience. When you learn and practice, learn and practice one by one. Learn one until you are well versed with it, and then go on to the next. Try to learn one movement a week. Do not try to learn and practice more than one or all at once.
As practitioners of life cultivation, most of us take the Mustang 8-brocade Technique as the cornerstone of our fitness program to restore us to a younger self.
Here is the third movement of the Mustang 8-brocade Technique. Enjoy.
03 Aid your stomach
Stand upright, with your feet apart and shoulder wide.
Raise your right hand with five fingers closed tightly to each other with palm upwards, fingers pointing to your right. At the same time, press down your left hand with five fingers closed tightly to each other with your palm downwards, fingers pointing to the front.
Restore your movement to its original position. Repeat the movements with your left and right interchanged. Repeat as many times as you can. A beginner may start with fifteen times.
You practice deep breathing at the same time. You should inhale when you push with your arms, and exhale when you recover to the original position.
As practitioners of life cultivation, we all know that the stomach and spleen are the foundation of the human body. Many diseases are related to the dysfunction of the stomach and spleen.
Many of us have a lot of work pressure and live an irregular lifestyle and we notice that our stomach and spleen are deteriorating. Therefore, the conditioning of the stomach and spleen has become very important. It has been mentioned in many health forums, and there are many methods to maintain the health of the stomach and spleen.
The Mustang 8-brocade Technique Third Movement is used to regulate the stomach and spleen. If you use it properly, you will be amazed at the ingeniousness of this thousand-year-old technique. However, you must understand the fine points and practice accordingly in order to reap the benefits.
The essence of the third movement of the Mustang 8-brocade Technique is to singly lift one hand in order to maintain the health of our stomach and spleen. As practitioners of life cultivation, we ask ourselves why it is necessary to regulate the spleen and stomach with a single lift of the hand. Can we achieve the same result if we were to lift both hands?
Every movement of the Mustang 8-brocade Technique is exquisitely designed. The purpose of the exercise is to return our body to its youthful state. The Mustang 8-brocade Technique is an excellent way to massage our viscera that our ancestors summed up through precise observation and practice.
To regulate the spleen and stomach, we have to raise our hands singly. If we raise both hands, we will be performing the first movement which will achieve a different purpose.
What is the difference between a single lift and a double lift? This is closely related to the operation of the spleen and stomach meridians.
Intricacies of your Movement
Raise your left upper arm with your thumb and index finger spread wide, but the remaining fingers are close together and pointing outwards. Focus your mind on the wide area between your thumb and index finger.
Make a movement of the left finger to the moon, raise your neck diagonally, and stretch the muscles of the neck. Keep the neck stretched, the eyes are slanted upward, look at the fingertips, the thumb and the index fingertips. The stretching of the neck will allow the normal flow of blood and vital-energy affecting the stomach and spleen, so that you will be relieved from a stiff neck at the same time.
Straighten the toes on your left foot and forcefully press them down the ground. You will feel a rabbit running up and down your leg because your actions have just activated the corresponding meridians which affect the stomach and spleen.
Now your toes, neck, fingertips and the inner side of your legs are properly aligned. Just hold this position for ten seconds and you will feel the peristalsis of the dabao acupoint (the large collateral of the spleen) on the side of the rib cage of the chest.
When you are under a lot of pressure and you get stuffy, you may lose your appetite and you do not feel like eating. When this happens, you are in a very bad situation. You may then practice the Mustang 8-brocade Technique to bring your stomach and spleen back to normal.
It helps to prevent and cure gastrointestinal dysfunctions.
