As practitioners of life cultivation, we discover that many of us have an inflammatory body constitution. There are many types of inflammation, such as skin inflammation, lung inflammation (pneumonia), stomach inflammation (gastritis) and women’s vaginal inflammation (vaginitis) etc. These inflammations are very troublesome to us and we will try to get rid of them and return our body to a homeostasis state.
Why are some people prone to inflammation? Inflammation is closely related to an individual’s body constitution. For example, people with low immunity are prone to inflammation.
In our practice of life cultivation, if we have one or more of the following symptoms, we will say we are in an inflammatory state. These symptoms are (1) pain, (2) redness and swelling of skin, and (3) infectious broken skin.
For example, a sore throat is said to be pharyngitis; joint pain is said to be arthritis, tenosynovitis, synovitis, periostitis; gastrointestinal pain is said to be gastroenteritis. In addition, we have rhinitis, pneumonia, mumps, mastitis, meningitis, synovitis and various inflammations.
We will live a life full of inflammation if we believe the healthcare industry who tries very hard to sell us various types of pills. We are on fire!
Characteristics of Inflammatory Body
People with inflammatory constitution have poor sleep. People with poor sleep for a long time will have poor heart function. When the heart function is poor, the heat dissipation capacity will be low, and the body will dissipate heat unevenly.
The heart function refers to the strength of the heartbeat and the ability of the heart to pump blood. If the standard heart function is calculated with a full score of 10, and if a person’s heart function is only 5 points, blood will not reach the far end of the body, resulting in cold hands and feet.
At this point, if a heat wave comes along, a person with poor heart function will not dissipate heat in the normal function, resulting in an inflammatory body condition.
Chronic inflammation will result in certain places where blood circulation is impeded and heat accumulation increases. This will aggravate the inflammation condition which may lead to acute inflammation.
The best outlet for our body to disperse heat is the orifice of the human body which includes the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. They are close to the heart, and a large amount of heat will gather close to our heart.
Therefore, if we suffer from chronic inflammation of the facial features such as pharyngitis and rhinitis, it is easy for them to become acute inflammation. Even if we do not have chronic inflammation in our head, it is easier for us to have acute inflammation in the facial features because of the close proximity of the heat source.
Thus, we will have a lesser chance of getting an inflammatory constitution if we live in a clean air environment compared to a foul air environment. Thus, it is more advisable for us to live in the rural areas with plenty of trees as compared to a city center full of cars.
